The mental health crisis is everywhere and nowhere at the same time. It always broke my heart where cell phones and other devices get more of a priority than people. At the end of our lives, no one talks about phone usage at funerals yet the phone is top priority with people today. It’s beyond sad. I am a firm believer that many, not all, mental health issues come from just being lonely.
Before technology, people actually talked to each other. People talked to their neighbors. People helped each other without excuse. Social media has been less social over the years and that resulted in more loneliness. There are people dying in nursing homes alone because no one visits them. There are people dying elsewhere every day because of loneliness and lack of community, where pets are more priority than people today.
The cure to much mental health issues is simple: put down the phone and just go talk with someone. You might just make their day.
As a mental health advocate, I am on mission to let ALL people know they matter today. There is no such thing as a lost cause. No one deserves to be alone, no matter what.
YOU BELONG RIGHT HERE. You matter. You are loved!

Over the years, I have heard many different definitions about what encouragement really is and how to not only to be encouraged but also to encourage others. I grew up thinking encouragement was basically flattery. Flattery is fake. It’s false love. Flattery doesn’t love anyone. Flattery is talking about something nice in front of someone…
Is anyone immune from anxiety? Is anyone immune from depression? From mental anguish? The short answer is no. We all can have and would often go through mental turmoil. Some more severe than others. As long as we are on this earth, we will ALL have battles of the mind. Our common enemy, Satan, loves…
The more I read the Word of God, the more I realized that I didn’t understand what the word “profane” really meant. There are a few preachers who preached about it, but not explaining what it meant. How would we know what profane fire is without anyone explaining it? You would think that I could…
