Homeless Shelters Kick People Out

By

When you first think of homeless shelters, what do you think about? Would they be heroes to you? Are they selfless? It’s so easy to believe that.

Unfortunately, that is not true at all. They have everyone fooled. The only people who like homeless shelters are those who have a home of their own.

There are shelters who don’t rescue the lost. They kick people out to the cold instead for absolutely no reason. When you see people camping outside of the gate of a shelter, don’t automatically assume they don’t want to go inside the shelter. They might have got kicked out for going to the restroom. Shelters have ridiculous rules to keep control of the most vulnerable. Can you imagine being stranded for seven days out in the cold just because you went to the bathroom? Can you imagine being kicked out to the cold weather for having a disagreement, no violence, with someone else? They could easily separate the two, but nope. I don’t understand how anyone could work at a shelter and keep a straight face, knowing they threw someone out in the freezing cold weather over something so minimal. Homeless shelters need to be investigated more often. When you see a loving billboard for a homeless shelter one day, don’t automatically assume that’s a great place. This society today is the most gullible. We cannot afford anything at this point in time. We need to use our brains. Not every nonprofit are FOR the people.

I had seen it myself. Staff members at homeless shelters kick people out of the shelter with no warning over something so little. If someone gets physically assaulted, then yes of course that’s a reasonable reason to kick someone out. But there are so many small reasons that staff members throw people out. It could be 20 degrees overnight, and they would still throw people out. How loving is that exactly?

I’m here because I believe homeless people don’t feel like they have a voice. It’s hard enough to be without a home of our own. It’s even harder when supposed good charities have staff that doesn’t feel safe to go to or are motivated to fight for a greater life. Life is hard enough. It’s even harder when doing life alone, especially when this is all a spiritual battle with real spiritual enemies on the loose destined to steal, to kill, and to destroy. I’m here to speak up for the ones on the verge of being frozen to death by the lack of love that shelters provide. I’m here to speak the truth for ones who cannot speak for themselves.
